Summary

This study tests whether buspirone, a medication used for anxiety, can help reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in people with opioid use disorder. About 100 adults will take buspirone or a placebo during a 10-12 day supervised detox. The goal is to see if buspirone makes the withdrawal process more comfortable and supports a successful transition to long-term treatment.
