Trial aims to ease debilitating side effect for cancer patients
NCT ID NCT05405387
Summary
This study is testing whether a drug called budesonide can prevent or reduce severe diarrhea in people with multiple myeloma who are undergoing a stem cell transplant. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either budesonide or a placebo, in addition to their standard care. The main goal is to see if the drug helps patients have fewer and less severe gastrointestinal symptoms during their recovery.
