NCT ID NCT06414434
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early study tests an oral drug called BTX-A51 in 24 people with advanced liposarcoma (a type of fat tissue cancer) that has spread or come back. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and tolerable at different doses. It focuses on specific genetic subtypes: MDM2-amplified, myxoid, and CIC-rearranged sarcomas.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
BTX-A51 (a kinase inhibitor taken orally)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for certain types of liposarcoma that have spread or come back.
What could go wrong
This is a very early (Phase 1) pilot study with only 24 people, so it is primarily checking safety and dosing. It may not show strong anti-cancer effects, and side effects are unknown.
