First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a bromelain supplement (an enzyme from pineapple) can reduce facial swelling after jaw surgery. About 200 people having jaw surgery will take the supplement for 9 days (starting 2 days before surgery). Researchers will use 3D imaging to measure swelling and see if it goes down faster than usual.
