Three sessions to stop PTSD before it starts

NCT ID NCT06210711

Summary

This study is testing whether a brief, three-session therapy can prevent posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in people who have been seriously injured. Researchers will enroll 300 patients admitted to Level 1 trauma centers and randomly assign them to receive either the brief therapy or standard hospital care. The goal is to see if this early intervention reduces PTSD symptoms, depression, anxiety, and pain while improving quality of life over six months.
