Summary
This study tests whether a brief motivational interview during a primary care visit can reduce alcohol and cannabis use in teens aged 12-17. Researchers will enroll 500 diverse young people who are at risk for substance use. The goal is to see if a short conversation can help them cut back on drinking and cannabis use and avoid related problems.
