Four-Session therapy aims to ease debilitating pelvic pain
NCT ID NCT05127616
Summary
This study is testing a very brief, 4-session cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program designed to help people manage the symptoms of urologic chronic pelvic pain syndrome (UCPPS). Researchers are comparing this short therapy to a basic education program in 240 adults diagnosed with UCPPS. The main goal is to see if this concise approach can effectively reduce pelvic pain and urinary symptoms while being easier for patients and doctors to use than longer treatments.
