First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a brief alcohol intervention (a few counseling sessions) helps people who are starting or restarting PrEP (HIV prevention pills) to drink less and stick with their PrEP routine. About 562 participants in Hanoi will be randomly assigned to receive the intervention or standard care. The goal is to see if reducing heavy drinking improves PrEP use and overall health outcomes.
