Summary
This study looks at whether a short screening and brief counseling session can help reduce unhealthy alcohol use among adults visiting public hospitals in a post-war area. About 262 outpatients who drink at risky levels will either receive advice and follow-up or just follow-up alone. The goal is to see if this simple approach can lower alcohol consumption over 6 to 12 months.
