New combo therapy shows promise for kids with advanced hodgkin lymphoma

NCT ID NCT02979522

First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested a new combination of a targeted drug (brentuximab vedotin) with standard chemotherapy in 59 children and teens with advanced, newly diagnosed Hodgkin lymphoma. The goal was to find the safest dose and see how well the treatment shrinks tumors. Early results suggest the combination may help more children achieve complete remission, but long-term follow-up is needed to confirm benefits and risks.
