Donor immune cells take aim at Virus-Linked cancers

NCT ID NCT02287311

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether specially trained immune cells from healthy donors can safely fight cancers and diseases caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Participants have EBV-positive lymphoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, or other EBV-related conditions that returned or didn't respond to standard treatments. The cells are made quickly and stored in a bank, then matched partially to each patient. The main goal is to check safety and see if the cells shrink tumors or control the disease.
