NCT ID NCT07319039

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how chronic breathlessness differs in people with cancer, COPD, or heart failure by using brain scans (fMRI) and virtual reality. Sixteen adults with persistent breathlessness will undergo an fMRI while experiencing virtual reality, and report their symptoms. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and to identify distinct brain patterns, which could lead to better, personalized treatments.
