Breath by breath: new study maps lung drug delivery in asthma and COPD
NCT ID NCT05445349
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study measured breathing patterns in 163 adults with asthma or COPD to help computers predict how much of an inhaled drug actually reaches the lungs. Researchers used these real-world breathing measurements to improve simulations of aerosol drug deposition. The goal is to make inhaled treatments more personalized and effective for each patient.
