5-Minute breathing exercise could rival walking for lowering blood pressure
NCT ID NCT05000515
Summary
This study is testing if a short, daily breathing exercise is as good as a standard walking program for lowering high blood pressure in postmenopausal women. Researchers will compare a 5-minute breathing training routine against 150 minutes per week of brisk walking over 3 months. They aim to see which method better reduces blood pressure and improves blood vessel health, and if the benefits last after stopping the exercise.
