Could a simple breath test spot cancer early?

NCT ID NCT06346054

Summary

This study is testing whether chemical markers found in a person's breath and blood can be used to detect early-stage stomach and esophageal cancer. Researchers will compare samples from 1,000 people, including those with cancer, those with a pre-cancerous condition called Barrett's esophagus, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to develop a new, less invasive way to find these cancers sooner.
