NCT ID NCT06016569

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study is testing a new breath test to see if it can find lung cancer early in people at high risk. The test looks for specific markers in exhaled breath and will be compared to standard low-dose CT scans. If successful, it could offer a cheaper, easier way to screen for lung cancer, potentially saving lives by catching the disease sooner. The study involves 3,200 current or former smokers aged 55-74.
