Could a simple breath test revolutionize lung cancer detection?

NCT ID NCT07426718

Summary

This study is testing a device called Inflammacheck that analyzes chemicals in a person's breath. Researchers want to see if these breath patterns can help doctors tell the difference between lung cancer and other common lung problems like pneumonia or asthma. They will collect breath samples from 140 people, including those with confirmed or suspected lung cancer, other respiratory conditions, and healthy volunteers, to train a computer program to recognize the breath 'signature' of lung cancer.
