First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at how the sugars, fats, and proteins in breast milk differ between mothers and change over time. It also explores how these differences affect the growth of healthy bacteria in a baby's gut. About 395 pregnant women who plan to breastfeed for at least 6 months are taking part, including some with diabetes. No treatments are given—only observations and samples are collected.
