Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing whether a less extensive lymph node surgery, called targeted axillary dissection (TAD), can safely control cancer in women aged 45 and older with early-stage ER+ breast cancer that has spread to lymph nodes detected by ultrasound. Participants will have breast surgery (lumpectomy or mastectomy) with TAD, followed by radiation therapy. The study will track how many women have cancer come back in the lymph nodes or breast over time.
