First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at why some breast cancer cells, called cancer stem cells, survive chemotherapy and cause the cancer to come back. Researchers collected tumor and blood samples from 56 women before, during, and after chemotherapy to find the genes and processes that help these resistant cells grow. The study was stopped early, but the information gathered may help develop better treatments in the future.
