New scan aims to catch breast cancer recurrence sooner

Summary
This study is testing if adding a special type of mammogram that uses contrast dye every two years helps find returning breast cancer more effectively in women with a personal history of the disease. It will involve 1,500 women who get their regular annual mammogram plus this extra scan every other year. The main goal is to see if this approach finds more cancers without causing too many unnecessary scares or follow-up tests.
