Could a Risk-Based screening schedule replace standard mammograms?

NCT ID NCT06060938

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study involves 2,200 women aged 50–67 to see if personalized mammography screening, based on genetic and lifestyle risk factors, is safe and acceptable. Half the women receive standard biennial mammograms, while the other half get a risk assessment and a tailored screening schedule (every 1–4 years). The main goal is to measure how many low-risk women choose to stick with the standard 2-year interval instead of the recommended 4-year interval.
