NCT ID NCT01413269

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at 720 women with early-stage breast cancer who had breast-conserving surgery. They were split into two groups: one received standard daily radiation for several weeks, and the other received a shorter course of radiation (hypofractionated). The goal was to see if the shorter treatment works just as well and has similar side effects. Results help doctors offer more convenient options without compromising care.
