New study aims to improve breast cancer surgery decisions

NCT ID NCT03255577

Summary

This study is testing how well a lymph node biopsy procedure works for women with advanced breast cancer who have already received chemotherapy. Researchers want to see if this less invasive test can accurately detect any remaining cancer cells after treatment. The goal is to help doctors make better decisions about whether more extensive surgery is needed.
