Summary
This study is testing whether a safe fluorescent dye called indocyanine green (ICG) can help surgeons find lymph nodes during mastectomy surgery for breast cancer. Researchers want to see if this dye works as well as the standard radioactive tracer method when surgeons use the same mastectomy incision instead of making a separate cut. The study involves 90 women with early-stage breast cancer who are having mastectomy surgery.
