Scientists search for clues in tumors to predict chemo success

NCT ID NCT07404462

Summary

This study looked at whether immune cells found inside breast tumors could help predict how well patients respond to chemotherapy before surgery. Researchers followed 171 women with early breast cancer, analyzing their tumor tissue and blood samples before and after treatment. The goal was to understand if these immune markers could indicate who might achieve complete cancer elimination with chemotherapy and who might be at higher risk of recurrence.
