Scientists test new scan to see inside breast cancer cells

NCT ID NCT02284919

Summary

This study is testing whether a new imaging tracer called [18F]ISO-1 can help doctors see specific features inside breast cancer cells using PET/CT scans. Researchers will scan 30 adults with breast cancer to see if the imaging results match what's found in tissue samples. The goal is to learn more about breast cancer biology, but this scan won't be used to make treatment decisions.
