New scan could help doctors see if breast cancer drugs are working

NCT ID NCT02608216

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to see if it can show how breast cancer tumors respond to a combination of two drugs. Researchers want to see if changes on the scan early in treatment can predict how well the patient will do later. The study involves about 20 people with a specific type of metastatic breast cancer who are already scheduled to receive the drug combination.
