Scientists dig into tumor DNA to predict breast cancer survival

This study analyzed stored tumor samples and medical records from nearly 1,900 Greek women who had surgery for early breast cancer. Researchers looked at genetic changes and protein markers in the tumors to see how they relate to breast cancer subtypes and long-term survival. The goal is to better understand which tumor features matter most for patient outcomes, not to test a new treatment.
