New fluid test aims to spot hidden cancer in the brain
NCT ID NCT03974204
Summary
This study aimed to see if analyzing tiny particles in spinal fluid could help doctors better detect when breast cancer spreads to the lining of the brain and spinal cord. It planned to enroll patients already suspected of having this serious complication. The goal was to compare this new test method with current standard tests to see if it improved diagnosis and prediction of patient outcomes.
