First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study followed 155 children who had proton radiation for brain or central nervous system tumors. Researchers measured changes in thinking skills, behavior, and use of special education services one year or more after treatment. The goal was to understand long-term effects, not to test a new treatment. Parents and children filled out questionnaires by mail.
