Glowing dye could light up brain tumors for surgeons

NCT ID NCT07493447

Summary

This early study is testing a special fluorescent dye called panitumumab-IRDye800. It is given by IV before brain surgery to see if it makes tumors glow under a special camera, helping surgeons see the edges of the tumor more clearly. The main goals are to check if the dye is safe and to find the best dose and timing for it to work. The study will include about 30 adults with brain tumors like meningioma or glioblastoma who are already scheduled for surgery.
