New scan aims to see inside deadly brain tumors
NCT ID NCT06059690
Summary
This study is testing a new type of combined MRI and PET scan to see if it can accurately measure how brain tumor cells use energy (a process called glycolysis). Researchers will compare scan results from 50 adults with glioblastoma to actual tissue samples taken during their planned surgery. The goal is to validate the scan as a tool to better understand and potentially target these aggressive tumors.
