Virtual reality brain games & pill aim to sharpen minds in mood disorders
NCT ID NCT07404085
Summary
This study is testing whether a three-week virtual reality brain training program, combined with a daily pill (sodium butyrate), can improve thinking skills like memory and focus in middle-aged and older adults who have had depression or bipolar disorder but are currently stable. Researchers want to see if this combination works better than brain training alone or a placebo. They will measure changes in thinking skills and brain activity using scans.
