Can a brain game help veterans overcome trauma?
NCT ID NCT06629064
Summary
This study is testing whether a computer-based working memory training program can help Veterans with PTSD better manage fear responses. 120 participants will complete either the real training or a placebo version over four weeks, with brain scans before and after. Researchers want to see if improving memory skills makes existing PTSD therapies more effective by strengthening the brain's ability to learn that old threats are no longer dangerous.
