Scientists test Brain-to-Brain training to fight heroin addiction

NCT ID NCT07344233

Summary

This study tested whether people with heroin addiction could learn to control their brain activity patterns to reduce drug cravings. Researchers used real-time MRI scans to show participants how similar their brain activity was to people further along in recovery. The goal was to help early-stage patients learn to shift their brain patterns toward healthier states, potentially creating a new tool for addiction treatment.
