First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at how a gentle electrical current applied to the brain (tDCS) changes stress responses and the ability to imagine future events. Sixty healthy adults aged 18-30 took part in one MRI session while receiving either real or fake stimulation. The goal was to understand the brain's stress and thinking processes, not to treat any condition.
