Brain zap & talk therapy: a new hope for stroke survivors struggling to speak

NCT ID NCT05561400

Summary

This small, completed pilot study explored a new approach to help people who have trouble speaking after a stroke (non-fluent aphasia). Researchers tested if combining intensive speech therapy with a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique could improve participants' ability to tell stories, recall words, and communicate. The goal was to gather initial data on safety and potential benefits to plan a larger future trial.
