Zapping the brain to find lost words: new hope for TBI patients

NCT ID NCT06848140

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people who have trouble finding words after a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Researchers will use a special cap to deliver a tiny electrical current to specific brain areas involved in memory and language. They want to see if this stimulation improves word recall and other thinking skills in 24 adults who have had a TBI for over a year.
