Magnetic pulses to the brain: a new hope for Parkinson's Patients' minds?

NCT ID NCT03836950

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called rTMS can improve thinking skills in veterans with Parkinson's disease who have mild cognitive problems. Researchers will compare real magnetic stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment in 56 participants to see if it's safe and helps with memory, focus, and planning. The study will also use brain scans to understand how the treatment might work.
