Summary
This study tested whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique, combined with mental exercises, could improve concentration and memory in active-duty military members who had a past mild traumatic brain injury. Fifty-six participants received either real or fake (sham) stimulation during five days of cognitive training. Researchers measured changes in thinking skills, brain activity, and self-reported symptoms to see if the treatment was helpful.
