Magnetic pulses to the brain: a new hope for treating mental health and Parkinson's symptoms?

NCT ID NCT03217110

Summary

This study is exploring whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can improve thinking problems and mood in people with several brain-based conditions. Researchers will use a magnetic coil placed on the head to stimulate a part of the brain called the cerebellum in 200 participants with schizophrenia, autism, bipolar disorder, depression, or Parkinson's disease. The goal is to see if this stimulation can restore normal brain activity and lead to better cognitive function and symptom control.
