Zapping the brain to boost memory?

NCT ID NCT05998031

Summary

This study aims to understand how a mild, non-invasive electrical brain stimulation technique might temporarily improve working memory in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Researchers will compare 55 adults with memory concerns to 55 healthy peers, giving each person both real and fake stimulation during memory games inside an MRI scanner. The goal is to learn how the brain responds to this stimulation, which could inform future strategies to help combat age-related memory decline.
