Zapping the brain to ease arthritis pain?
NCT ID NCT02723929
Summary
This study tested whether two types of non-invasive brain stimulation could reduce pain and improve daily function for people with chronic knee osteoarthritis. Researchers compared real stimulation to a fake (sham) treatment in 64 participants to see if it lowered their pain scores and reduced their need for pain medication. The goal was to find a new way to manage this common, long-term pain condition.
