Zapping the brain to ease Women's chronic pain
NCT ID NCT02161302
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS could help reduce chronic pelvic pain in women with endometriosis. Thirty women with confirmed endometriosis and significant daily pain received the stimulation treatment over several weeks. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, pain sensitivity, and certain blood markers to see if the treatment was effective.
