Zapping brain circuits to ease depression and pain
NCT ID NCT04556890
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people who have both major depression and chronic pain. It will involve 54 adults who haven't gotten enough relief from standard medications. Participants will receive 30 sessions of magnetic stimulation targeting brain areas linked to mood and pain, while researchers measure changes in symptoms, inflammation, and brain activity.
