First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called rTMS can improve both depression and chronic pain symptoms. Fifty-four adults with moderate-to-severe major depressive disorder and pain will receive 30 treatments over several weeks. Researchers will track changes in mood and pain scores, and also look at blood markers of inflammation. All participants get active treatment, and compensation is available.
