Zapping the brain to fight cocaine addiction

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of gentle brain stimulation and mental training can help people with cocaine addiction reduce their cravings. Researchers will enroll 120 adults with cocaine use disorder to receive either real or fake stimulation while practicing techniques to manage drug-related thoughts. The goal is to see if this approach helps control cravings and reduces drug use, potentially leading to a new tool people could use on their own during recovery.
