Zapping the brain to sharpen memory in bipolar disorder

NCT ID NCT07414147

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, combined with memory training, can improve thinking skills like memory and attention in people with stable bipolar disorder. Researchers will compare active magnetic stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment in 88 participants over 5 days, with follow-up for 6 weeks. The goal is to see if this targeted approach safely helps with the cognitive difficulties often experienced even when mood symptoms are under control.
