NCT ID NCT06995560
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle electrical current applied to the scalp (transcranial electrical stimulation) can improve performance on a challenging computer task that simulates docking a spacecraft. 44 healthy adults with advanced degrees completed the task while receiving either real or fake stimulation. Researchers measured speed, accuracy, and overall success during and up to 48 hours after stimulation. The goal was to understand if and how brain stimulation affects complex cognitive and motor skills.
